"The Maine Historical Society is very pleased with the
work of Picketts Chimney Sweep and Liners. We asked Paul to look at
replacing the chimney liner of the 1786 Wadsworth-Longfellow House kitchen
chimney after another chimney company was unable to figure out how to get the
old liner out after four hours of trying. It was a difficult job because
the flue was not straight, it is angled around an original antique open kitchen
hearth. The work needed to be done in such a way as to not disturb any
visible historical brick work or the historic set kettle that is built into the
kitchen hearth. Paul looked it over and knew immediately how to
accomplish the work with minimal disturbance. He and his crew were also sensitive
to the historic surrounding in which they were working. We were also
pleased to find that Picketts' pricing is also very competitive."
"I had occasion to call on Pickett's Chimney Service to
make corrections to the Church chimney as we were converting to natural gas.
The problem was that the chimney needed a stainless steel liner. Paul's
service was what we needed. He was prompt, friendly and highly professional.
He recognized the problem and solved it quickly so that the gas conversion
could be done. Paul also provided us with additianal stainless steel liner so
the connection could be made between the chimney and furnace. I highly
recommend Paul's chimney Service to solve your chimney problems."
Chimney liner installation
Paul and his team did an
excellent job. Paul is very professional yet pleasant. I am pleased with my
decision to go with him and grateful for his efficient service and expertise.
Installed New Chimney Liner.
Quick, efficient and professional in every respect
Had to have chimney relined to
have new furnace installed. They came the day after a blizzard and all went
well. Used them again this fall as the chimney for the wood stove needed to be
relined as it had a crack in it. Cost about $1400. |Hopefully no more chimneys
need relining but, I would call them again if that were the case.
The owner and his staff were
tremendous....they did everything that they said they would do, for the price
they gave me and they were punctual and professional. They put a flexible liner
in our chimney and capped it.
Removed and replaced the lining
in my chimney connected to my wood stove.
Provider arrived on time and
with the necessary tools to do the job.
Paul was a nice guy to deal with, and went above and beyond by being flexible
about the fact both the estimator and I failed to mention initially that there
is no electricity at my home.
I am pleased with the quality of the work. The cost of this type of service,
specifically the parts, will always be a tough one to swallow but I would work
with Paul again and would certainly recommend Pickett's Chimney to others.
Installed a new liner and cap
in rebuilt chimney. The job went smoothly and Paul was very polite and punctual.-Kenneth
Pickett's repointed our chimney
at the exterior only. I was referred to them by ReVision Heat.
The job cost ended up being
less than the quote. Of course this may rarely happen, however, I was
pleased to have such an honest company working for me. I hired Pickett's
to repoint the chimney prior to a roof job at their recommendation. I had
originally called for a chimney lining to be done at a later date. I will
certainly be hiring them for the chimney lining work.-Polly
